Our Story

Driven by our passion for wooden building blocks, we are dedicated to creating a series of building blocks that children will love.

If we had to choose a moment when HEYSONG really began, it would be the day the founder bought a set of blocks for his child and felt that something was missing. From that moment on, he realized that children do not need a box of flashy toys that lose their charm after only a few days, but a box of wooden blocks that grow with them and become more interesting the more they play. In this simple wish to “give the child something a little better”, HEYSONG was quietly born—not from a cold business plan, but from the heart of a parent.

At HEYSONG, a piece of wood is more than just raw material; it is a gentle bridge between a child and the world. Natural grain, real weight and warmth allow children to discover nature with their fingertips and to practice focus and imagination while they build. The simpler the shape, the more meanings a child can give it: sometimes it is a bridge, sometimes a castle, and sometimes an entire little universe that exists only in their mind.

HEYSONG insists on using high‑quality wood and preserving as much of its original color and grain as possible, so children can “see” traces of the forest at their fingertips. Every single block is carefully sanded multiple times and finished with child‑safe coatings, so small hands will not be scratched and parents can feel at ease even if the blocks briefly touch a child’s mouth. Each box is thoughtfully designed in size and assortment, so it is not a toy that becomes boring after three days, but an old friend that can accompany a child from toddler years through later childhood.

In the world of HEYSONG, there is no “standard way” to build and no so‑called “correct answer”. We do not tell children which block must be a house or which must be a car; instead, we leave blank space for them to decide on their own. A child may stack a tall tower just to enjoy the moment it collapses, or treat blocks as cakes, tickets, or phones, learning to express, create, and tell stories through repeated pretend play.

HEYSONG has always believed that truly good toys can withstand time and endless tidying up. Today, the blocks may be a “construction site” scattered across the living‑room rug; a few years later, they may become a small “exhibit” on a child’s desk. May every HEYSONG box that is opened become a small world shared by children and parents, where a single piece of wood quietly accompanies a child as they slowly grow up.
